The point of this view of the 401/410/403 interchange is to focus in on the container-collector (or "express-local") system on the 401.

Right in the centre-foreground you can see where this configuration is brought to an end on the Westbound side (oncoming traffic). The Westbound-express lanes (carraigeway) merge with the Westbound-collector lanes. At this stage both carraigeways have been reduced to 2 lanes each, making for a 4-lane undived Westbound side of the Highway. Off to the far left the newly single Westbound carraigeway is joined by a slip ramp carrying traffic from Highway 410.
