Not so much a view of the Highway, this focus of this (granted somewhat poor quality) photo is on the overhead ganty in the foreground.

This is an example of the high-technology gantries that have 407 ETR standing apart from evey other Highway in Canada (and indeed the World, at the time of writing). Mounted on this gantry are the licence-plate scanning cameras that record every vehicles entry to, and exit from 407 ETR.

The distance between exit point and entry point is thus calulated, and a bill sent to the registered owner of the vehicle, with a significant discount for those customers displaying pre-paid transponders on their dashboard.

This particular gantry notes the entry of vehicles from Highway 400.
