Standing on the Etobicoke side of the Humber river, once the Western city limit of Toronto. Looking East towards downtown.

To the left we have the lakeshore railway, used by commuters on the Lake Shore GO line and by VIA passengers heading to Niagara and further afield.

We are more interested, of course, in the overpass to the right of the railroad. This carries traffic from the last of no less than five exits linking the Westbound side of the Gardiner Expressway down to Lake Shore Blvd. To be absolutely precise, what we see passing over the Humber river here actually is Lake Shore Boulevard. According to MapArt, the Gardiner on-ramp merges into this overpass right at the Waters edge.

On the far-right we see a corresponding on-ramp, joining the Gardiner westbound from Lake Shore.
