Distant shot of the Burlington Bay - James N. Allan Skyway (to give it it's full title), the bridge that takes the QEW from Hamilton to Burlington the short way - over Burlington Bay, as opposed to the long way overland around Hamilton.

The height of the bridge allows huge cargo and container ships through to the smoke-spewing steel mills that dominate the industrial area of Hamilton ... i.e. the whole city :-)

When driving from Toronto on the Niagara bound side of the bridge (oncoming traffic from the point of view of this photo) you get a stunning view of the permanent mushroom cloud that hangs over the region. Take a deep breath, folks!
